Someday you'll have to send me a copy of the picture from our Joe Pool lake run. That would be great for me to tape above my monitor to inspire me -- a much more personal inspiration to add to what I get from my Steve Prefontaine "The Gift" poster.

I found my 1972-1973 Kirby Track jersey yesterday as well as a picture you took of me while in uniform dashing towards you behind the trailer at Placid Park mobile home park. I expected someday it was going to be something I'd appreciate. It's one of those items that timelines and validates. I also found a 1993 photo of you in your Texas running shorts from the day at Joe Pool lake -- the last time we ever ran together. You are the lighter runner in that photo. I remember best that it was running with a Warbington next to me that was most special... not the pace, not the course, not the distance.

Stay on that edge of craving a run. Make it something you desire from the depths, not a chore designed to bring on anything else. Tue-Thur-Sat are the only days I get out there and that works for me. I am a RUNNER... stay one yourself!!!
